Production Manager – On-site
The Production Manager will support the delivery of Northern Leaf’s day-to-day production plan, supervising teams, coordinating workflows and maintaining the quality and documentation expected within a regulated environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure that products are produced and stored according to appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality.
Responsible for supervising and ensuring that production technicians meet their designated targets efficiently and on time. This includes overseeing daily operations and guiding the team to maintain productivity levels.
Tasked with providing on-the-job training for all team members. They must ensure that employees are adequately trained to perform their duties effectively, and that new hires are properly onboarded and mentored.
Must possess a thorough understanding of Health and Safety regulations and ensure that these standards are upheld within the workplace. It is their duty to make certain that the team adheres to safety protocols, minimizing risks and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate documentation as required for internal and external purposes. This includes ensuring that all necessary reports, logs, and forms are completed in a timely and precise manner.
monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other essential consumables. Managers must ensure that the team has all the resources they need to perform their tasks safely and efficiently without disruption.
Responsible for ensuring punctuality and timekeeping within their teams during specific shifts. They must ensure that all employees report to their shifts on time and that work progresses according to the schedule.
responsible for overseeing access to the vault. When entering the vault to remove stock or waste, a manager must always be present with at least one other person. This ensures secure handling and tracking of valuable materials
Responsible for determining the weekend rotation schedule. Each manager is required to work one Saturday per month to ensure sufficient coverage, with at least three Saturdays accounted for each month. This rotation helps support production targets and maintains workflow continuity over weekends.
Ensure that their teams meet the quality and production standards required in the fine trim, de-stemming, and machine trimming processes. It is their responsibility to oversee the work, ensuring that it aligns with company standards and client expectations.
Ensure an even distribution of work and prevent team members from spending excessive time in one area, managers are responsible for scheduling rotations between Team 1 and Team 2. This rotation ensures fair workload distribution and fosters a versatile workforce capable of handling various tasks. The teams should be rotated every two weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must have valid driver's license.
Must have completed basic and advanced GMP training.
This position can be physically demanding and requires the applicant to be able to lift 20 Kilos on a regular basis as well as function in physical positions such as stooping, bending, turning, twisting, walking and squatting.
Good written and spoken English.
