Frank Walker OBE
Independent Non-Executive Chairman
Frank Walker OBE leads the Board and chairs the Remuneration and Nomination Committees. He has enjoyed a successful business and political career, culminating in him becoming the Chief Minister of Jersey, serving from 2005 to 2008.
Before serving in the Government of Jersey, Frank was Chairman of the AIM-listed Guiton Group, the owner and operator of the Jersey Evening Post, leading the company’s IPO having been its Managing Director from 1973. He later led the acquisition of the Guernsey Press Co., and, ultimately, the sale of the Guiton Group, in 2004.
In the 18 years Frank spent in the Jersey government, he presided over several Committees, including Postal Administration, the Finance and Economics Committee and the Policy and Resources Committee. When Ministerial Government was introduced in 2005, he was elected Jersey’s first Chief Minister, retiring in 2008. Since retiring from government, he has held several Non-Executive Directorships.
Frank was awarded an OBE in 2009 for Services to the Community.
